New York Livery Driver Busted In Sting Operation

Photo: Paul Martinka, New York Post
A livery driver who joined a protest at City Hall on Feb. 5 over high fines thought he had a surefire way of detecting undercover taxi agents.

When he asked a passenger who he was picking up at JFK airport, “Are you undercover TLC?,” the passenger replied, “No, I’m not TLC.” As it turns out, he was TLC.

Unlike taxi cab drivers, livery drivers can’t pick up passengers who haven’t made prior arrangements.
