Chauffeur Involved In Fatal Limo Crash Lacked Insurance

MADISON, Wis. — Documents from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration list no active insurance on file for the Lyons Limousine Company, which was involved in a fatal crash on March 25.

The documents list $0 of a required $1.5 million in active bodily injury and property damage insurance. According to the FMSCA documents, the company listed BIPD insurance with Berkshire Hathaway Homestate Insurance Company as late as October 2013.

The driver of the limousine was Aaron Nash, 20, of Janesville. It’s unknown if Nash had, or was required to have, a commercial drivers’ license to operate his limousine.
