INDIANAPOLIS — BusCon 2017, at Indianapolis’ Indiana Convention Center, Sept. 19-21, will offer a variety of excellent educational opportunities aimed at the limousine, tour, and charter transportation industries.

Two sessions will be led by Bill Faeth, founder of Limo University & Inbound Marketing Agents — “Leveraging Automation to Sell 24 Hours a Day” and “Creating a High-Powered Infrastructure for Growth.”

After spending several years in the limousine industry, Faeth founded Inbound Marketing Agents (IMA), an award-winning marketing agency specializing at serving the online marketing and sales needs of more than 165 ground transportation companies globally. He also developed Limo University, where he shares the tools, resources, and knowledge gained during his time in the industry, as well as the current tools he and his IMA team use every day to help limousine companies grow a more profitable business.

In addition, the United Motorcoach Association (UMA) is once again hosting a track on Sept. 18 that will feature a session on the capital cost of contracting services, which allows public transit agencies to reduce their capital outlay by contracting for just the service delivered.

The often-overlooked formula is a great method for public agencies to engage local, private bus companies in special projects and commuter services. The UMA’s other session will focus on how to make the most of the Data Q system to appeal errors that show up on an operator’s federal Safety Measurement System scores — a key component in ensuring your operation’s crucial customer-facing safety score is accurate.

Additional sessions of interest to the chauffeured and motorcoach transportation industries will focus on what you need to know about aftersales service, warranties, and more; how to create a solid social media strategy; and how to make staying in compliance with federal regulations easier.

In addition to plenty of networking opportunities, this year’s BusCon will also feature a timely Keynote Address — How Connected/Automated Vehicle Technology Will Impact Transportation — which will discuss the evolution of the technology, how and where it is being tested, and what its impact will be on the various transportation industries.

The 135,800 sq. ft. show floor — open Tuesday, Sept. 12 from Noon to 5 p.m. and Wednesday, Sept. 13 from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. — will once again offer the largest quantity and widest variety of vehicles and products, with attendees able to use BusCon’s mobile app to get around the show.

Vehicle manufacturers slated to be on the show floor this year include Blue Bird, Diamond Coach, Embassy by SVO Group Inc., Freightliner Custom Chassis, Irizar, Mercedes-Benz Vans, MCI, and Ram Trucks, as well as offerings from the REV Group family of products, which includes Champion, Federal, Krystal, and World Trans.

Sponsors for the 22nd installment of BusCon include Host Operator IndyGo; Platinum Sponsor REV Bus Group; Gold Sponsor MobilityTrans; Silver Sponsors Ford, HSM, and Terrapin Blue; and Bronze Sponsors AC Delco and GoExpressTravel.

Exhibit hall only passes are free if you register by Aug.18, with a full conference pass costing $98. To view the full schedule, click here.
