Japan Looks To Limos For Flashy Foreign Visitors

<p>A chauffeur in Japan standing next to a Nissan Fuga (<a href="http://ift.tt/1LTGj5q">photo via Wikipedia</a>)</p>Japan’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism will conduct a survey of foreign visitors, taxi operators and travel agencies to establish safety and quality standards for limousine services, sources said. The survey will take place next fiscal year and services under the new standards will be introduced from fiscal 2018.

Existing taxi services, including limousine services, are mainly for corporate customers on long-term contracts.
