BUFFALO, N.Y. — Towne Automotive Group & Towne Livery hosted a ride-‘n-drive event Saturday, Aug 13 for operators and dealership preferred customers to get behind the wheel of the all-new 2017 Lincoln Continental. The two-day event featured a gala reception and unveiling of the Continental Aug. 12 at the historic Shea’s Performing Arts Center.
More than 40 operators and dealership customers tested the luxury-laden flagship vehicle. Operator feedback was positive, and many said they are considering purchasing the Continental to add to the fleets.
“It’s very well appointed and the price point is very good,” said Tony Moore, President of Buffalo Black Car Service (Buffalo), who recently launched the company. “I like a lot of the features and the design is impressive,” he added.
Alliance Limousine (Ardsley, N.Y) President Frank Castro enthused about the Continental.”Very impressed. This could be the car we’ve been waiting for that can help separate us from the TNCs. I am definitely buying one.”
Added Michael Ziotkowski, operations manager, ACES Limousine (Williamsville, N.Y.): “I like the power and it’s a really nice vehicle combined with the price. This could be the vehicle that the industry has been craving.”
The three operators said they were impressed with the size of the rear cabin, legroom, center console and fit and finish.
Event host Dave Bastian, commercial sales manager at Towne Auto, said the Continental received positive reviews from the test drivers, who were impressed with its quality, style and pricing.
The MSRP price for the 500A Livery package ranges from $47,535 to $49,535 depending on FWD or AWD. Check with your dealer for specific pricing on the base vehicle and optional packages.
A 4-year/150,000 mile Extra Care Warranty will be standard on the 500A Livery series.
