Addison Lee, Europe’s largest private hire operator and owner of Tristar Worldwide Chauffeur Services, has written to Sadiq Khan, Mayor of London, criticizing Uber’s campaign to water down the new private hire regulations.
These regulations will ensure for the first time all licensed drivers have a command of English and knowledge of London’s geography.
Addison Lee has 5,000 licensed drivers and is determined to lead the way in driving up industry standards. The new rules will also ensure all licensed vehicles will have fully effective Hire and Reward motor insurance in place.
