CT6 Contrasts With Bygone Big, Boaty Cadillacs

Cadillac CT6 sedan debuts Feb. 29, 2016 at the International LCT Show in Las Vegas, Nev. (LCT file photo)
It’s been four decades since Cadillac produced massive, barge-large sedans that needed several cranks of the steering wheel to negotiate around a street corner.

Cruising in the 2016 Cadillac CT6 near the Detroit River on a day when a few actual boats were out splashing around conjured up those cars, and prompted this obvious observation: The GM brand’s new top-of-the-line sedan is roomy despite driving like a smaller car.

Austin Bus Startup A New Option For Transit Commuters

Public transportation can be a pain. Late buses, missed stops, things detrimental to those who use public transportation to get to and from work, or those simply looking to travel a bit.

The Atlanta-based company, Shofur, is working on changing that, however. Shofur allows patrons to track their bus in real time and reserve seats directly from their app. Shofur buses have reclining seats, power outlets, and Wi-Fi to make the ride as smooth and convenient as possible for those traveling on their buses.

Karhoo’s Taxi Price-Comparing App To Take On Uber

Since Uber launched, taxi-booking companies have scrambled to create their own mobile-first services that give customers plenty of options, but ultimately lock customers to their fleet of drivers.

A new entrant, Karhoo, launches as yet another of those types of apps, but it’s playing things a little differently from Uber and its rivals. It’s signed up 80,000 drivers of licensed black cabs, minicabs and executive cars (a third of which are in London) to provide a price comparison service for taxis across the UK.
