ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. — The Transportation Network Company Safety and Regulatory Act, which cleared the Legislature on Dec. 19, failed to require fingerprint background checks for drivers, the accepted and widespread gold standard in reviewing possible criminal history.

From LCT: Jason Sharenow, president of the Limousine Association of New Jersey, said: “There is still a good possibility this can happen. LANJ is keeping the pressure up and fingerprinting does have some bipartisan support in the Senate and Assembly. We are hopeful that the Attorney General will not cave to the Millennials and the TNCs.”
