Bauer’s I.T. Blames Union For Loss Of Commuter Shuttle Permit

(Photo by San Francisco Examiner)</p> A motorcoach huttle provider denied a permit to use city bus stops and shuttle zones in San Francisco Monday blamed a union campaign, but transit officials say the company’s record of traffic violations is equally to blame.

Bauer’s Intelligent Transportation, a firm that provides commuter shuttles for workers at several Silicon Valley technology firms, is the only company so far to be denied a permit under The City’s shuttle regulation program, which took effect April 1.

Bauer’s officials said the permit denial could be traced directly to “union politics.” CEO Gary Bauer said in a statement: “The sudden increase in ‘complaints’ about our service? It has everything to do with politics and bears no resemblance to our track record of safe and courteous operations.”
