MOORPARK, Calif. -– Chosen Payments has has created a GoFundMe page to collect funds for their clients in Texas and Florida affected by the recent national disasters from Hurricanes Harvey and Irma.
The national credit card processing company has identified 360 clients in the affected areas and wants to help them in getting their businesses opened and functioning as fast as possible.
Chosen Payments CEO Jeff Brodsly made the first $2,000 donation into the account and hopes other businesses will join his company in contributing. The fund will accept donations through Sunday, Sept. 24. On Monday, Sept. 25 the company will donate 50% of the collected proceeds to the American Red Cross. The remaining amount will be disbursed to those who have demonstrated a need for help during a personal phone call.
Chosen Payments is reaching out to all 360 clients with a phone call to check on their welfare and see how the company can best help those affected by the disasters. his includes replacing damaged credit card terminals which are the primary method of accepting payments for most businesses.

“This isn’t something we can wait around for,” says Jim Luff, marketing manager for Chosen Payments. “These people need our help now and there isn’t time to think about a donation. It is the time to donate. Even $5 helps.”
