MARLTON, N.J. — Results of this year’s NLA Board of Directors elections, the first done through electronic voting, were announced Jan. 21, with six NLA operator members being elected to 2016-2019 terms.
Those re-elected and new board members include:
- At Large (1 seat) – Jason Kaplan (The Driver Provider, Phoenix, Ariz.)
- U.S. Central Region (1 seat) – Diane Forgy (Overland Chauffeured Services, Leawood, Kan.)
- U.S. Northeast Region (1 seat) – Javaid Chaudhry (NYG Limousine, Rosedale, N.Y.)
- U.S. West Region (1 seat) – Kevin Illingworth (Classique Limousine Worldwide, Orange, Calif.)
- Canadian Region (1 seat) – Joe Ironi (Global Alliance Worldwide Chauffeured Services Ltd, Toronto, Ontario)
- International (1 seat) – Michael Oldenburg (United Limousines AG, Germany)
This is the second consecutive three-year term for Illingworth and Oldenburg. The 2016-2019 NLA term of office will be the first for Kaplan and Chaudhry.
“On behalf of the entire membership, we want to thank each candidate for their willingness to serve this association and its members,” said NLA President Gary Buffo, who has held the post since 2013.
The NLA Board of Directors has 18 members who serve staggered three-year terms, with six seats coming up for election every year. Two additional vendor board directors from Ford/Lincoln Limousine & Livery Vehicles and Cadillac Professional Vehicles are appointed annually and do not vote on board agenda matters.
The NLA, based in Marlton, N.J., has about 2,000 members worldwide.
