DENVER, Col. — Hermes Worldwide, one of the primary chauffeured transportation services in the Denver region, added two 2017 MCI J4500 buses this summer to handle a growing roster of group and special events clients.

The company bought the new buses from MCI and put them into fleet service on July 10. So far, the client markets using the coaches include weddings, corporations, meeting and events, team charters, and youth groups, said owner and President Jorge Sanchez.

The 57-passenger coaches offer an array of luxury amenities, including 110V/USB in every row, six TV monitors, DVD, radio, Wi-Fi, and onboard cinema.

“We chose MCI because we were very comfortable with the style and design of the coach itself, MCI sales, and the after sale support we could get in our market,” Sanchez told LCT. “We added the coaches because our clients asked us to. We feel this is the next step in our evolution as a company.”

Grand Avenue Partners With Nashville Companies For Hurricane Relief

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Grand Avenue is teaming with Gray Line Tennessee and Stewart Transportation on an effort within Nashville’s local transportation community to help those affected by Hurricane Harvey in Houston and the surrounding areas.

The companies are working through the Austin Disaster Recovery Network to gather the most needed supplies, which will be sent down to Austin next week on one of Gray Line’s motor coaches.

Those interested in donating can do so by purchasing supplies through MyRegistry.com, then having the items delivered to the 186 North First Street corporate offices for both Grand Avenue and Gray Line. Alternatively, supplies can be purchased independently and dropped off at the offices during normal business hours. Supplies must be purchased and delivered via MyRegistry.com or dropped at 186 North First Street by Tuesday, September 19th.

“As a city with flood devastation experience, we all recognize how difficult the recovery process can be and how every little bit helps,” said Terrie Lane, VP of operations and general manager of Grand Avenue. “We’re proud to be working with Gray Line and Stewart Transportation on this effort and hope that, with the help of transportation organizations in our local community, we can help the people of Houston get back on their feet soon.”

Supplies requested include clean-up products, like garbage bags, mops and latex gloves, as well as self-care products, like sunscreen and insect repellant. For the full list of supplies, visit: http://ift.tt/2xLJLjv.

Lincoln Continental Proves It’s The Real Deal

<p><a href="http://ift.tt/2f2zNle">Photo via Lincoln</a></p>

Regardless of any resemblance to the Bentley Flying Spur, the new Continental looks the part of a classic luxury car, though it sells for less money than most of its competitors, some of which break into six figures. The model tested for this review, the top-of-the-line all-wheel-drive Reserve came with a starting price of $57,000 and – with full safety equipment and a complement of optional convenience and luxury features – topped out at $75,020.
